We are a non profit corporation whose purpose is to increase community awareness about current environmental and social issues by creating, performing, publishing and distributing original music and poetry which highlights these concerns. During the spring of 2007, our organization will have two public concerts by our two ensembles - the Contemporary American Chamber Ensemble and the Contemporary American Folk Ensemble. On Sunday, March 11, 2007 the Contemporary American Folk Ensemble will be performing at Sprague Mansion in Cranston at 3 PM. On Friday, May 11, 2007 our Contemporary American Chamber Ensemble will performing at Linden Place in Bristol, RI beginning at 8 PM. During the hour preceding each of these concerts, artworks by some of Rhode Island’s leading artists will be on display. During that time, there will also be a Silent Auction, which will include some of their artworks. Each of these concerts will feature music and poetry by our Artist in Residence, Noreen Inglesi and will highlight some of the efforts by other non profit agencies such as the Nature Conservancy, the Audubon Society of Rhode Island, the Woonasquatucket Watershed Council, the DEM and the Habitat for Humanity. In addition, we are currently seeking donations for both of our concerts and would greatly appreciate items to be used in our silent auctions.

Additionally, our organization will seek to establish a musical ensemble which will perform in public schools throughout the state and the New England Area. Our goal is to organize performances in some of Rhode Island’s public schools, which will highlight the need to protect our natural environment. We will also seek to include student creations in these performances. It is also our goal to create children’s books which will include an original theme song with the notated music as well as an accompanying CD. Each book will once again highlight current environmental and social issues and will be distributed to pubic and private schools in the area.
